Scattering and collection procedures in the Kimama-Bereishit camp

Distribution / collection in a private vehicle:​

The camp begins at 9 p.m. Unloading and absorbing campers in the camp compound will be possible starting at 8:45 p.m.
The carpool service will end at 9:15 p.m.
Campers should not be left unattended in the camp area before 8:45 in the morning.
Do not park the vehicle in the unloading / collection area.

If your child has difficulty separating during the dispersal, please park your car in the designated parking lot and accompany your child on foot to the reception area. The parting from the child will be done at the attendance registration table. Parents are not allowed to enter the camp compound itself.


Conduct while dropping off campers:

During the dispersal, wait for a staff member to approach the car to receive the trainee. Under no circumstances should trainees be allowed to get out of the vehicle independently. Please help us keep your child safe. The staff member will accompany the trainee  To a registration table to mark attendance and from there to the general meeting area of the camp.


Collection:

The camp ends at 4 p.m. Gathering of trainees will be possible between the hours  4-4: 15 p.m.

A staff member will approach each car in line to receive the trainee's details  Which rises  On the vehicle. The staff member must be shown the trainee card that will be given to the parents on the first day of camp. Due to safety reasons,  We will not be able to allow children to get in the car without presenting this card.
After dropping off / picking up the trainee, please wait patiently for the car in front of you to leave the drop-off / pick-up lane. Do not overtake cars while unloading or picking up!
Any change in the trainee's collection arrangements must be notified to the camp office by 1 p.m., by email to office@campkimama.org
  Or by calling 646-779-5579.  In order for us to prepare for the change and make sure that your child gets on the correct ride, the full name of the trainee must be included in the email, the date of the change of collection arrangements, and who will pick up the trainee at the end of the activity day.
We will not allow the trainee to board a car that is not his parents' if we have not been notified in advance.
Early pick-up of a trainee will only be possible until 3:30 p.m. The camp office should be notified as soon as possible of the early collection by email or telephone. The full name of the trainee, the date for the early collection, the time of collection and who will collect the trainee must be included in the email. Early collection will be done directly from the camp office. Please park your vehicle in the designated parking area.

 

Lateness:

In case the trainee arrives after the end of the carpool,  The parent / adult in charge must park the vehicle in the area designated for parking and accompany the trainee on foot to the camp office. A trainee cannot go to the camp alone or join his group without stopping at the office and the staff is informed that the trainee has arrived at the camp and is participating in the day's activities. A staff member from the office will accompany the trainee to his group.

Shuttle service from New Jersey and New York:

In New Jersey, the pick-up and drop-off of the trainee will be done at the trainee's home according to the residential address provided in the transportation registration.
In New York, shuttles pick up / drop off campers only at pre-set stations. The parent has the sole responsibility for the trainee's arrival at the collection point on time and his return from the pre-determined distribution point. The camp management has no responsibility for the trainee before he arrives at the shuttle and upon his departure from the shuttle at the distribution point.
The trainee must be ready at the station about ten minutes before the indicated arrival time of
  The bus.
Pick-up / drop-off times will be posted weekly on the Kimama website under the tab of the relevant week.

If there is a delay in arrival, the shuttle coordinator will notify parents via text / WhatsApp notification of pick-up / drop-off.
In New York at the time of collection the staff member must be shown the trainee card to be given to the parents on the first morning of camp. Due to security reasons, we will not be able to allow children to leave the shuttle without presenting this card.
Boarding and disembarking from the bus takes place only after the bus has stopped and is not traveling and in a stationary state.
Getting on / off the bus is done only from the front door closest to the driver.
Each bus will have a responsible coordinator who will check names and confirm the start of the trip.
In order to avoid delays in the arrival of the shuttle to the camp, we can not wait for the trainee who is late. If a trainee missed the transfer to the camp, it is the parents' responsibility to bring him to the camp.
In a situation where there is no one to receive the trainee at the dispersal station, the trainee will continue with the shuttle until the last drop-off station and wait there with the shuttle coordinator. It is the sole responsibility of the parent to pick up the trainee as soon as possible.
Boy
  Who will riot, will be rude to the driver / crew and will not obey instructions - will not be allowed to board the shuttle.
Please note that any change in the camper's arrival / drop-off arrangement must be notified to the camp office as soon as possible by email office@campkimama.org or by phone at 646-779-5579. The full name of the trainee, the date of the change in the transportation arrangement, and the nature of the change (alternative pick-up / drop-off address, alternative station, etc.) must be included in the email.

Pick Up and Drop Off Procedure

Drop off  / Pick up by private car: 

Camp starts at 9 AM. Drop off and reception of campers at  the campgrounds will be available starting 8:45 AM through at 9:15 AM.
Campers cannot be left unattended in the campground earlier than 8:45 AM.
 
Cars cannot be parked in the drop-off and pick up zone.

 

Drop off procedure:

During drop off parent / guardian is to wait for a staff member to approach the car to receive the camper. Under no circumstances are you to let a camper leave the car unaccompanied by a staff member. Please help us keep our children safe. The staff member will accompany the camper to a reception table in order to mark the camper's attendance, and from there they will guide the camper  to the general assembly area.   


Pick up procedure:

Camp ends at 4 PM. Pick up will take place between 4:00 and 4:15 PM. A staff member will approach each car in the carpool line to get the name of the camper that is being picked up. Parent / guardian must provide the staff member with the camper card parents will receive during the 1st day of camp. For security reasons, we will not allow a camper to enter a vehicle without seeing the card.
After Drop off / Pick up, please wait patiently for the car in front of you to leave the carpool lane. It is forbidden and unsafe to cut in front of a vehicle during drop off and pick up !!!
If a camper has trouble parting during drop off, please park your car in the parking lot and escort your child to the reception area by foot. Parting with your child will take place at the reception table, parents may not enter the campgrounds themselves.

 

Changes in pick up arrangements:

You are to inform the camp offices about any changes in the campers pick up arrangements by 1:00 PM, either by email to office@campkimama.org or by phone to 646-779-5579 . Please include in the email the campers full name, the date of the pick-up change, and the name of the person that will be picking up the camper  at the end of that dayy. 
We cannot allow a camper to board a vehicle that is not of their parent / guardian without prior notice.

 

Early pick up:
Early pick up of campers will only be possible up until 3:30 PM. You are to inform the camp offices about early pick up by email or phone. Please include in the email the full name of the camper along with the date of the early pick-up and the name of the person who will be picking up the camper. Early pick up will be done directly from the camp offices. Please park your car
  in the parking area.


Late arrivals at camp:

If a camper is to arrive at camp after the drop-off service has ended, the parent / guardian must park in the designated parking lot and escort the camper to the camp offices by foot. A camper cannot walk to the campgrounds or join their group without first stopping at the office  and informing the staff of their arrival at camp. A staff member will then escort the camper to their group from the camp office.
 

Transportation services from New York and New Jersey: 

Pick up and drop off In New Jersey will take place at the camper's residence according to the address provided when signing up for the transportation service.
In New York, the bus
  service will pick up and drop off campers only at the designated stops. The responsibility of bringing the camper to the pick-up stop on time and picking them up from the designated pick up stops falls on the parent of the camper alone. The camp management bares no responsibility for the camper before their arrival at the transport vehicle, and after their disembarkment from it at drop off.
The camper must arrive at the stop as early as 10 minutes prior to the published bus arrival time.
The timetable for pick-up and drop off will be published weekly on the Kimama-Bereisheet. Should there be any delay, the bus counselor will inform the parents through text / call.


In New York, during drop off, you must show a staff member the camper card that will be given to the parents on the first day of camp. For security reasons, we will not let a camper leave the bus without showing a staff member the card.
Embarking and disembarking from the vehicle will only be done after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
Embarking and disembarking from the vehicle will only be done from the front door of the bus near the driver.
On every bus, there will be a staff member responsible for taking names and authorizing the beginning of the drive.
In order to avoid delays in the bus arriving at camp, the bus cannot wait for a tardy camper. If a camper misses the bus, it is the parents' responsibility to get them to camp.
In the event that there is no one to receive the camper at the drop off stop, the camper will continue to the bus's final stop and will wait there with the bus counselor. Picking up the camper as soon as possible is the parents' responsibility alone.
 
A child who acts out, is rude or disrespectful towards the bus driver / staff or does not follow the staff's instructions will not be allowed back on the bus in the future.
